Alright let's get into it, no BS.
As a showroom employee we are preparing you to be able to run the store if management is unable to come in; basically a back-up manager. We don't do different staff levels or hierarchies. Everyone has the same responsibilities as showroom staff. We all work together to keep our customers and happy. Those who perform the best and exceed expectations will be recommended for raises by management. The reason we train you to do everything a store manager can do is in case an emergency comes up and management cannot be there, the business cannot stop running. A lot of people depend on us and we cannot let them down.
Some of your responsibilities include but are not limited to the following;
cashier, stocking the showroom (and warehouse when necessary), pulling orders, answering phones, taking orders from customers - over the phone, in person, online, unloading and loading trucks, assisting other associates with their work and activities, janitorial, setting up customer accounts.
I'm sure there are somethings that I have forgotten and I know it seems like a lot when it's all laid out in front of you, but we will teach you everything you need to know little by little.
Now look, at the end of the day, we are a small business so we really need people who are dedicated, hard working, (have common sense), omg who said that?, like to learn new things, good at customer service and problem solving. etc
So if you got all that and then some, go ahead and apply! If you had to ask yourself (or someone else) if you have common sense, We are not hiring at this time.
PAY RATE - what everyone wants to know
We start you somewhere between $8-$10/hour for training. It takes about 2-4wks, sometimes longer, really depends on you and how you learn and work with the team. Like we said above. Raises are dependent on your performance.
After that it's up from there. The only reason you won't get a raise would be because of your performance.
Also, keep in mind that we can also lower your rate if you start to slack off and get lazy/comfy at higher level.
